REQUIRED ACTION

Two crucial steps to take to improve your security posture.

Plus, resources and enablement tools to help TD SYNNEX partners protect against the latest security threats

Over recent months, cyber criminals delivered a wave of cyber-attacks that were not just highly coordinated, but far more advanced and relentless.

Snapshot of the current cyberattack landscape
• 91% of security breaches originate from phishing or spear-phishing emails¹.
• There are approximately 300,000,000 fraudulent logins per day².
• There are approximately 50 million password attacks per day³.
• Small businesses spend an average of $955,000 per attack to restore normal operations⁴.

To help you and your customers mitigate against the current cyber threats, TD SYNNEX and Microsoft have teamed up to provide our partners with a suite of resources, best practices and tools. Please follow these two steps as soon as possible. Please also watch the TD SYNNEX learning program on current threat awareness and a reminder about security controls.

You can rest assured that Microsoft and TD SYNNEX security is robust and comprehensive. However, there are some proactive steps you must take to increase your, and your customers’, security posture.

We strongly recommend you take these steps as soon as possible

Step 1: Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Adding an additional barrier and layer of security makes it incredibly difficult for attackers to get through. According to Microsoft, MFA can block more than 99.9 percent of account compromise attacks.

Improve your organization's protection against cyber attacks by activating MFA today.
Step 2: Set up proactive monitoring and alerting through Azure Cost Management
Set a budget for yourself and your customers, and implement strict Azure cost management. As a CSP partner, you are responsible for all invoices, regardless of whether they are valid or fraudulent. Following these two steps will allow you to proactively monitor and investigate cases of unusual spending that may suggest malicious activity.
